JATILUHUR MULTIPURPOSE DAM
Jatiluhur dam, is located in the western part of Java Island, on Latitude 70 South, 139 Km South - East of Jakarta, its project as first stage development program of the Citarum river basin, and comprises the construction of main dam/reservoir, hydroelectric power station as well as its irrigation system along the Northern coastal plain of West Java, stretching from Cikeas river and the boundary of special District of Jakarta to Cilalanang river in Indramayu. Its main purpose is the irigation of the vast rice fields of the Northern coastal Plain, it will also supply a considerable amount of extra power to this rapidly developing region
